Questions

When is the festival?

Saturday, October 21, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. and Sunday, October 22, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. at the Decatur City Hall lawn.

How much does the festival cost?

Admission to River Clay is $5 for a weekend pass. Children 12 and under get in free (must be accompanied by an adult).

Do I need to bring cash?

Yes! River Clay prefers cash for admission. Most artists and vendors accept credit cards, but you should bring some cash just in case. There are several ATMs located within walking distance of River Clay.

What about COVID precautions?

River Clay is an outdoor event. We encourage patrons to wear masks and distance when possible. Although we are not requiring masks for festival entry, our artists may choose to require masks to enter their booths. Please be considerate of the artist’s requests and your fellow festival goers, and mask up if needed.

Is River Clay rain or shine?

Yes! River Clay is an outdoor art festival and as such is a rain or shine event.

Is River Clay a kid-friendly event?

Absolutely! In fact we have a children’s art activity tent featuring make-and-take art projects. We also feature student art work from Decatur, Hartselle and Morgan County schools.

Are dogs allowed?

Yes! Well behaved dogs are always welcome!

Will there be food?

Yes! We will have food trucks on-site so you can refuel to keep shopping! We will also offer beer and wine for patrons wishing to sip and shop.
